CERT Coordination Center advisory CA-98.02 reports vulnerabilities in some implementations of the Common Desktop Environment (CDE). These vulnerabilities allows local users to gain write access to arbitrary files. Local users may also be able to remove files from arbitrary directories, thus causing a denial of service.
